General Summary And Purpose
The purpose of this position is to service VCM’s global institutional client base, providing a high degree of attentive and dedicated client service - from institutional account inception and onboarding, through to day-to-day client service and support.
We are seeking a seasoned, strong team player possessing high initiative and a good understanding of investment processes and products. The successful candidate will work closely with members of sales, investments, legal, risk and client reporting departments. This role will be responsible for institutional clients as a member of the International team, in support of U.S. investment products offered across a global footprint. VCM’s Boston location requires employees to be 4 days in the office.
This position reports to: Director, Head of Client Centricity, Administration & Operations | International Business.
You Will
- Lead the International client onboarding process in the US ensuring that all relevant stakeholders are informed of the new business opportunity and gain mandate acceptance.
- Liaise with relevant internal departments to ensure the effective set up of the new clients on reporting systems and that the relevant processes are in place.
- Initiate the review of investment guidelines, operating memoranda or SLAs with internal departments; collate commentary and present the commentary to the client as required.
- Help to establish workflows where required with Operations and ensure that these are clearly documented.
- Assist with client presentations as required.
- Act as a conduit between the global Sales and Relationship management teams, the Client and internal departments
- Understand the service and reporting requirements for respective clients, clearly communicate to the appropriate departments and follow up to ensure proper implementation.
- Identify potential issues, work with relevant areas to find solutions and help with the implementation of such solutions. Escalate issues, when required to senior management.
- Serve as a secondary (and in certain instances, primary) contact for clients who have inquiries concerning operational aspects of their accounts. This will likely include interaction with client’s back-office support teams, custodians, etc.
- Report the status of onboarding and active client activities to senior management.
- Maintain expertise in tax accounting and compliance rules.
- Contribute to tax planning and special projects.
You Have
Minimum of 8 years of institutional client service/relationship management experience – experience with all facets of the client service process a must, from on-boarding, reporting and ongoing service.
- Solid understanding of Sales Support requirements including knowledge of interfaces between Sales and Operations departments.
- Knowledge of Custodian and Fund Accounting concepts.
- Understanding of Investment processes and products with a strong working knowledge of the prevailing regulatory environment.
- Client Service Oriented.
- Proactive, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
- Professionalism with the ability to liaise will all levels of the organization.
- Strong Project Management skills.

Target Compensation
The target base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $125,000
Salaries are determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees, and certifications.
Victory Capital Management operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and total compensation may vary based on role, location, department and individual performance.
Victory Capital Management’s total compensation package includes the opportunity for annual compensation bonuses and/or commissions and a generous benefits package.
